Photo walk on the ice.
I'm back. Now with a beautiful baby girl added to our family. As anticipated with the arrival of newborn daughter I have not been out doing much photography on the nature and landscape side of things.
I however have committed to a once a week photo challenge through the website 52frames . Every week they post a photo challenge theme that is due at 11.59 pm Sunday night. The photos do not have to be masterpieces but there has to be a photo. I have submitted photos from both my Canon and my cellphone for the challenges. It really all depends what the challenge is and how much time I have free. Since have spent as little as 5 mins on the challenge pulling over on the side of the road to take a shot on my phone and doing some light editing in lightroom mobile and I have spent hours compositing a shot together. This week's challenge in symmetry. I haven't come up with anything but I'm sure I will find it.
So that brings me to a pretty memorable photo walk that lasted a few hours and only a dozen or so shots captured on camera. The day after we experienced multiple days of sub zero polar vortex weather and the temperature reached the 30s I decided to go for a photo walk at a local park about 20 mins from me. I had the time off work due to our newborn daughter and my wife had her friend visit and encouraged me to get out of the house. I think she was getting sick of me inside all the time.
